1: Our Beginning. Founded in 2005
Fortress of Faith International emerged in the Greater Tampa Bay Region as a global church with a call to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations. With the Spirit's leading, we have evolved into a strategic movement that engages business, nonprofit, and governmental leaders across five continents. The mission now integrates faith with civic and cultural systems to shape lasting transformation. The move to Washington, DC, connects the visions with worldwide ministries and global corporate hubs, with special emphasis on Israel and Ethiopia. Jesus is our accepted Beloved Chief Cornerstone.

Mission: Train the builders of public life (i.e., community leaders, lawmakers, pastors) to bring civic policy and private character into obedience to divine standards of Scripture.

Sheila Griffin
... is a legal-and-theological strategist whose work bridges the sacred and the civic. A credentialed pastor, Christian university provost, former chaplain, and retired attorney in Metro Washington, D.C., she equips truth-driven leaders to transform systems with integrity and compassion. Drawing on years of service in higher education, ministry, and the law, Sheila helps people discern wise paths, communicate clearly, and build ventures that honor God while serving the common good.
Her leadership is grounded in hands-on service: building entrepreneurial businesses, legal advocacy, foster parenting, training men and women returning home from incarceration, advising non-profits, and teaching life-management skills. These experiences shape practical ministerial, social, and corporate solutions that strengthen families, communities, and institutions. Grateful for every door God opens, Sheila invites others to join a simple, courageous mission—go, write, speak, build, and give—so that justice is safeguarded, dignity is upheld, and hope becomes operational in everyday life.
